Community Service Hours for SHS

The following is a list of organizations that have service opportunities available for students.  Ask for the volunteer coordinator and work out the details directly with them.

BELLEVUE SCHOOL DISTRICT REQUIRES

  40 COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS

 IN ORDER TO GRADUATE!!

Documenting your community service hours is very important.  You can obtain blank forms in the counseling office or at the lunch table that is run by volunteers on Fridays.  You may turn in completed forms in the counseling office or at the lunch table on Fridays.

The PTSA community service team records all turned in service hours throughout your high school years, but you should keep copies of the forms you have turned in for your own records.

This is not a complete list.  There are many other ways to get community service hours such as:

   1) Look at the bulletin board in the counselors office

   2) Look in the SHS newsletter

   3) Check out the lunch table just outside the cafeteria on Fridays

   4) Ask a teacher, counselor, PTSA volunteer

   5) The Key club and FCCLA are two clubs in our school that do

        a lot of volunteer work

6)Volunteer at an elementary or middle school

If you see volunteer opportunities in your community check with a counselor or PTSA volunteer to find out if they qualify as community service.
