Water Polo is an exhilarating sport, loved by all who have the opportunity to witness or experience it, producing some of the most fit and elite athletes.  Combine soccer, basketball, and wrestling…then put it in the water…that’s the game.  The fast-paced momentum of the game ropes spectators into a frenzy upon first experience.  Unfortunately, the light is often shined on the difficulty and skill level needed to participate.  In reality, there is water polo available for athletes of all abilities and levels whether you make it to the national collegiate level, or if you are just out for trying it at the junior varsity level with some good friends. 

Sammamish girls’ varsity polo took 5^th place in state last year, with their only loss in the tournament credited to the state championship team.  Through dedication, teamwork, and a dedicated coaching staff, team goals are above and beyond what’s ever been done with a Sammamish girls’ polo team for this upcoming season.  We are blessed with some all around athletes but we are looking to add more to strengthen the roster. 

So soccer, basketball, and volleyball players…and of course swimmers…pack up your tenny’s and try the fastest growing sport at the collegiate level.  You have been formally invited.  There will be 7 Sunday practices beginning Jan 7 from 5:00-7:00 at Samena Recreational Club.  These will be low-key and more informational, breaking down the fundamentals of the game…a perfect opportunity to try it.
