A bit more about fundraising the easy way.  Remember that all we do here will enhance our kids' experiences later this year, while reducing our family by family costs.

The PTSA has done a great job setting up this website that has dedicated sections for different Sammamish activities.

As to Poinsettias, as previously mentioned, in addition to suggesting that aunts, uncles, etc. each consider buying a few, the key is to think for a moment whether you know anyone who might be in a position to buy LOTS, like an office or building manager.  Even if you don't know one, you probably can think of someone who would.  Call them.  In just a half hour's time last month I was able to think of and call several such people, with surprising results.  A couple said that my call was well timed, as they were just about to make such decisions.

Sally Foster is also particularly nice opportunity for us, as we get a full 50% of the price of every sale bearing our school's unique reference number!  Since I last saw this they have added a few new product lines, most of which are things we all will buy anyway in the normal course.  Go see.  Also, the neat thing about it is that it (the web site and order system) is accessible from anywhere, so the Grandma in Florida can buy her wrapping paper, for example, and we get the benefit as long as she enters our school code.  Again, it is worth letting people know about this.
