PTA is a Grassroots Organization

One of the main purposes of PTA is to represent the needs of the students and families in our community through grassroots advocacy.  Each year PTA units from around the state attend a Legislative Assembly which involves two days of discussions on the top issues to take to the legislature for the current session.  In order for your PTA to represent you...

WE NEED TO KNOW WHICH ISSUES ARE IMPORTANT TO YOU!

Please go to the following website and complete the Legislative Issues Survey for this year:  http://www.zoomerang.com/recipient/survey-intro.zgi?p=WEB226V6B7FVDA

You may also print a copy of the survey from the Sammamish Parent Website at www.sammamishtotems.org/ptsa.  Please select a minimum of 5 issues that are priorities for you and your student(s) and return the form to SHS attn: PTA by Friday, October 4th.

If you are interested in learning more about the grassroots part of PTA, or in attending the Legislative Assembly, please contact Sue Cedarleaf at (425) 641-5241.
