STEPS Spring Fundraiser 2010
We are in the throes of organizing the spring Fundraiser for STEPS
which will be held on May 8th, Saturday in the evening. This will be
primarily a fundraiser for STEPS as STEPS supports the students across
the school and not one particular club or group. This year we are
allowing only the four classes to participate in minor fundraising, and
not the individual clubs and groups. A few salient points:
The event is being held in a the Jarjour residence which helps us by not
having to pay for rental space
The event will spotlight some of our students in a variety of musical
contributions and other areas
Our former principal Spencer Welch will be attending and playing piano
throughout the evening
We are celebrating 50 years of Sammamish and hope to see some alumni in
attendance
Please let us know if you are interested in helping with the event- it
will be a great night to see other parents and celebrate our school
together, in addition to raising funds to help the students of
Sammamish.
Invitations will be mailed to all families of Sammamish the week of
March 22nd. Since we have limited space in a private residence, we will
be selling 200 tickets only.

Springtime in Paris Nets over $52,000!!
Over 200 Sammamish parents, alumni parents, friends
and guests had a great evening of community and fundraising April 21st
at Glendale Country Club. John Curley was in his usual high energy
mode entertaining all throughout the evening urging us to raise our bid
cards early and often. Our auction co-chairs Sally Vellon and Ana
Guevara did a great job pulling the troops of volunteers together over
the months of planning. Our Master of Ceremonies, Mike Stevens
worked hard striking a balance between FUN, keeping us on schedule and
making all the evening’s announcements. Everyone did a great job
and the entire evening was a great success.
