Support the C Team head coach in executing their daily practice/match plans. Teach players fundamentals of passing, serving, setting (basic offense), attacking and teamwork. Assist with bench management. Understanding of basic volleyball terminology, knowledge of 4-2, 6-2 or 5-1 offense systems and perimeter or rotation defense preferred.
Support the JV head coach in executing their daily practice/match plans. Work with players on fundamentals of passing, serving, setting (tempo offense), attacking, blocking, defensive techniques and teamwork. Assist with bench management. Understanding of basic volleyball terminology, knowledge of 4-2, 6-2 or 5-1 offense systems and perimeter or rotation defense preferred.
Support the Varsity coach in executing their daily practice/match plans. Work with players on further refining execution of passing, setting, serving, attacking, blocking and defensive techniques. Ability to coach setter/attacker decisioning. Assist with bench management. Understanding of advanced volleyball terminology, knowledge of 4-2, 6-2 or 5-1 offense systems, perimeter or rotation defense and tempo offense preferred.
Volunteers will be required to arrive to the Sammamish High School gym and report to the head match official no later than 5:15 pm. Learn WIAA scorekeeping procedure by attending a 45 minute to 1 hour pre-season training. After one live match shadowing a trained scorekeeper, you will score a match on your own with the trainer looking on. You are expected to be able to scorekeep on your own after the training period.
C/JV volunteers will be required to arrive to the Sammamish High School gym and report to the head match official no later than 5:15 pm. Varsity volunteers are required to report no later than 6:45 pm.
Volunteers are required to familiarize themselves with the operation of the scoreboard controls in advance. Allow an additional 15 minutes for this on your first volunteer opportunity. C/JV volunteers will be required to arrive to the Sammamish High School gym and report to the head match official no later than 5:15 pm. Varsity volunteers are required to report no later than 6:45 pm.
Volunteers are required to attend a short 30 minute training session to learn the procedure for libero tracking. You will get one practice session with a trainer shadowing you then will libero track on your own. C/JV volunteers will be required to arrive to the Sammamish High School gym and report to the head match official no later than 5:15 pm. Varsity volunteers are required to report no later than 6:45 pm.
